UC Berkeley Summer Intern Class of 2023
This past summer, students from UC Berkeley (some of whom are included above) provided support to NCAPDA in terms of distributing Narcan rescue kits among their peers, participating in our outreach events, publishing social media content, and raising awareness about Narcan and the dangers of certain prescription drugs and illicit fentanyl. These four students are continuing their work with us during the Fall semester along with seven other new members of our UC Berkeley cohort. OUR MISSION
NCAPDA's mission is to save lives through our community education programs, policy change, legislative advocacy and distribution of opioid overdose rescue kits (Narcan).
WHO WE ARE
The coalition was founded in 2010 as a national 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer-based organization to prevent prescription drug/opioid-related Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and overdose deaths following the tragic death of Joseph (Joey) John Rovero III.
WORKING TOGETHER
We network with like-minded organizations, agencies and community members across the country to share best practices, develop and share resources, and establish and implement a cohesive, nationwide education campaign around medication and opioid safety.
